This enormous flower debuted at Coachella 2012.
Solitary Inflorescence was Poetic Kinetics’ 2012 Coachella art piece. This piece was a realization of a long-time dream to re-engineer our 80′ giant flowers to fit the taller 125′ articulating aerial man lifts. The flower’s petals are composed of hand-formed steel and aluminum tubing with custom sewn & draped fabric panels. The sculpture features color-changing LED lighting and video projection onto the petal surfaces.
