What types of commissions does Poetic Kinetics take on?
We work with cities, arts councils, festivals, botanical gardens, cultural institutions, and developers on large-scale public art installations, site-specific outdoor sculptures, traveling art exhibits, and fine art museum installations. What is the process from idea to installation?
We work in six phases: Orientation (understanding your site, goals, and community), Ideation (creative exploration and concept development), Design (detailed drawings, engineering, and material specification), Production (fabrication at our studio), Installation (on-site build and rigging by our team), and Strike (professional deinstallation at the end of a temporary exhibition). Every project is collaborative — you are involved at every decision point.

Most projects take between six months and two years from commission to opening day, depending on scale, complexity, and site requirements. A large permanent public artwork typically requires 12–18 months. Temporary festival installations can sometimes move faster. We always work back from your target date and tell you early if the timeline is achievable.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. Poetic Kinetics has installed work in more than 20 countries, including the United States, Australia, Germany, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Russia. We coordinate all logistics, shipping, structural engineering compliance, and on-site installation with local partners wherever needed.
Are the installations weather-resistant?
All outdoor work is engineered for its specific environment — wind loads, climate, UV exposure, and seasonal conditions are built into the structural design. Our kinetic sculptures are designed to move with wind, not fight it, which makes them inherently resilient. Temporary installations typically run from several weeks to several months; permanent works like Aspen Light in Denver are engineered to last decades.
